Sinus Tarsi Syndrome
Sinus tarsi syndrome occurs when a sprain doesn't heal properly and abnormal scare tissue forms. The scar tissue presses against small nerves, which run throughout the small space (sinus) where your leg and foot meet. You may feel pain when you move or touch the area near the sinus tarsi.
